Training and Education
In the midst of our second decade and emerging from the pandemic, we are poised to share our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) expertise and provide first hand supervision, training and work experience for young professionals in this field.
Consistent with our vision for more equity and opportunity we began the process of reaching into communities of first generation college and graduate students, particularly women. Our inaugural cohort of interns is comprised of ten women who meet that criteria. They represent communities from around the world.
Through twice a week, three hour sessions, we supervise and mentor students in direct work with children in schools and in our primary office. To meet new demand we are not only prepared to mentor more interns in the field, but also have developed training curriculum that can be accessed virtually. TMH is motivated by the opportunity to continue bringing our foundational knowledge and experience to a wider audience. The pandemic highlighted the urgency and priority of acquiring SEL knowledge.

Parent Education and Early Childhood Development
TMH is now in its third year of providing a safe space for parents to learn from and support each other through the different joys and challenges of raising children. Our newest parent group facilitates conversations and offers expert advice. Groups offer parents essential tools that deepen their relationship with their child/children socially and emotionally. Parenting issues and expectations are reframed in terms of a child’s developmental stage and abilities and simple plans are offered to face challenges and promote connection and growth.
